Returning to study later

Many students have a break for a year or two after leaving school and then go on to study at university or TAFE.
Many people continue to work part-time when they return to study. In fact if your son or daughter is unsure about what direction to take after school, joining the workforce for a few years can be a positive step.
Getting a job can benefit your son or daughter by:
- helping them find out what they want to do and, just as importantly, rule out what they don't want to do,
- helping them to mature and become independent, and
- allowing them to save some money to pay for further study.
