Indigenous students applying for undergraduate study

UTS: Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning (Jumbunna IHL) provides services & pathways for all students who identify as Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

In NSW the definition of an Aboriginal [or Torres Strait Islander] person, as defined by the Aboriginal Land Rights Act, is a person who:

  • is of Aboriginal [or Torres Strait Islander] descent.
  • identifies as an Aboriginal [or Torres Strait Islander] person, and
  • is accepted by the Aboriginal [or Torres Strait Islander] community in which he/she lives.

The Yana Muru Pathway Program is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students applying for entry to most undergraduate courses at UTS.
