Additional selection criteria - UAC applicants

All mature age and non current school leavers applying for an undergraduate course at UTS are considered for a place on the basis of their academic qualifications. In addition, some courses have compulsory or optional additional selection criteria.

Additional selection criteria:

  • is used to award bonus points or to shortlist applicants for interview and can affect the outcome of an application.
  • will only be considered for courses appearing below.

Compulsory selection criteria- Autumn 2013 admissions

Compulsory selection criteria must be submitted on time for your application to be considered.

There are compulsory additional selection criteria for:

  • Bachelor of Accounting (C10235)

    UAC Code: 601010

    Complete both parts of the Bachelor of Accounting application form
    by Friday 8 June 2012 (Round 1 closing date) or by Friday 26 October 2012 (Round 2 closing date) for Autumn semester 2013 applications.

    You must also have the Bachelor of Accounting as a UAC preference by Wednesday Oct 31 2011.

  • Bachelor of Information Technology (C10143)

    UAC Code: 603210

    Complete the B IT Questionnaire
    by Friday 29 June 2012 (Round 1 closing date) or by Wednesday 31 October 2012 (Round 2 closing date) for Autumn semester 2013 applications.

    You must also have the Bachelor of Information Technology as a UAC preference by Wednesday Oct 31 2012.

Optional selection criteria - Spring 2012 admissions

Optional additional selection criteria give you an opportunity to improve your chances of selection to a course. They are either design portfolios, personal statements, or relevant work experience and are only accepted for the courses listed below when those courses are open for application through UAC.

  • Work Experience

    Non current school leaver applicants to the courses listed below are advised to complete the Employment question on their UAC application as bonus points may be awarded on the basis of relevant work experience.

    Courses that assess work experience for adding bonus points to an applicant's academic rank:

    • Engineering and Information Technology all courses open for mid-year application.
