UTS:INSEARCH

INSEARCH is a registered higher education institution and the pathway provider to UTS.

INSEARCH has been educating students for over twenty years, offering:

• UTS Foundation Studies

  UTS Foundation Studies is a UTS program, delivered by INSEARCH on behalf of UTS.

  The program is designed for students who have completed year 12 but not met the entry requirements for either:

  • UTS undergraduate programs, or
  • INSEARCH diploma courses.

  Students who complete the UTS Foundation Studies program with the required grades are eligible to:

  • apply for admission to the first year of undergraduate courses at UTS on a competitive basis, or
  • can enter diploma programs at INSEARCH.

  UTS Foundation Studies subjects include academic English and digital literacy, designed to prepare students for university studies. There are nine different streams in the program:

  • business,
  • law,
  • health sciences,
  • physical sciences,
  • information technology,
  • design,
  • arts and social sciences,
  • architecture and
  • education.

• INSEARCH diploma

  INSEARCH offers diploma courses in:

  • business,
  • science,
  • engineering,
  • information technology,
  • design, and
  • communication.

  These diplomas vary in length from standard diplomas (3 semesters-12 months) to accelerated diplomas (2 semesters - 8 months). in most cases you will complete the same core subjects at INSEARCH as students studying the first year at UTS.

  INSEARCH graduates of the new diplomas (offered from semester 2, 2010) who achieve the required GPA (grade point average) for the corresponding degree at UTS are guaranteed a place at UTS.

  Graduates who started their INSEARCH diploma prior to semester 2, 2010 are eligible to apply for admission on a competitive basis.

  The majority of INSEARCH diploma courses provide up to 48 credit points of credit recognition, which is equivalent to one year of study at UTS.

• English language courses

  INSEARCH also provides English language courses for students wishing to improve their spoken, written and academic English skills. Courses include:

  • Direct Entry English Program (DEEP)
  • Academic English Program (AEP)
  • IELTS Preparation
  • General English

INSEARCH is conveniently located near the city campus, close to Central Station, China Town and Darling Harbour. As an INSEARCH student you have access to UTS facilities enabling you to experience university life while studying at INSEARCH.
