The studio apartments are fully self-contained living areas that include a bedroom, bathroom and individual cooking facilities.
Social life
Student housing is a great way to meet new people and take full advantage of the university’s social scene. UTS Residential Coordinators help to create an enjoyable living environment, running activities throughout the year. Regular weekly events include cooking, fitness and dance classes, language lessons, movie nights and many more.
Costs
Weekly housing costs are dependant on room type and residence location. Prices cover electricity, water, unlimited internet access, basic furniture and weekly cleaning services for common areas. Car parking spaces are also available at some residences.
Studio apartments start from $266 a week, while share apartments are significantly cheaper, with weekly costs starting from $146 for a twin-share apartment.
How to apply?
You must be a UTS student to apply for housing. A small proportion of 'early offers' are made before each semester begins – this is based on the condition that the applicant is accepted into a UTS course or research program.
Off-campus accommodation
If you wish to live in non-UTS housing, the City campus is surrounded by lively inner-city suburbs like Surry Hills, Glebe, Chippendale, Newtown, and Erskineville.
The Housing Office can assist you in your search for accommodation both on and off campus and are available for advice on tenancy matters.
