Uni is more than study

Most uni students say that making new friends and getting involved in different activities was as important to them as study, because it helped them become more mature and ready for the future.

Going to uni gives you the chance to try new things and get involved in activities you might never have thought of, or didn't have the opportunity to do before. and you can continue doing the things you are already interested in.

Orientation

Your first semester at uni will start with orientation - you'll get your new timetable and go to talks about study and social activities.

Orientation is also a great time to get involved in a social group or sports club – all the clubs have information stands, so it's easy to see what's on offer and sign up.

At UTS, for the first few weeks of semester, UTS Peer Networkers roam the campus in orange t-shirts. They are there to give directions and answer questions – so if you're lost and confused, look for the bright orange t-shirts!
